Family: Cruciferae
A native European herb of the mustard family, used as a forage crop
and for its seeds which yield rapeseed oil. Sown in gardens for a salad
herbs, rape is also cultivated in gardens for spring greens, the tops
being cut first and afterwards the side shoots.
